The cupping event tasting the coffees from Indonesia sourced directly. Two farms and one collect were tasted (see details below). One had some Kopi Luwak (the real stuff that is hand collected from the plantations, not the stuff that has flooded the market that is from caged animals). There was fully washed, semi washed and a natural. The coffees were a good quality and feedback was positive. We hope this helps Yada bring coffees in.
All coffees were specialty grade. The Luwak scoring an 85.5.

Satria Family Farm
Location: Takengon, Gayo, Aceh, North Sumatra
Processes: Fully Washed
Cultivars: Catimor
Altitude: 1700 masl
Ave Temperature: 13-23 °C
Notes: This is a 1-hectare family farm. It is situated at 1700 masl above sea level on a slope of a mountain next to Takengon. The slope is North-West-facing with lots of guava and passion fruit trees in between the coffee trees. The beans are manually processed and sorted.
Tagore Group
Location: Gegarang, Gayo, Aceh, North Sumatra
Processes: Fully Washed, Semi Washed
Cultivars: Catimor with some Bourbon and Typica
Altitude: 1500 masl

Notes: This is a group of 20 farmers (1 hectare per farmer) working together under the leadership of Pak Tagore, an ex-senator of Indonesia with a passion for coffee. These coffee trees grow amongst chilli plants, citrus-, guava- and cinnamon trees. The whole group has one processing plant, which includes machine-sorting.
