On the evening of July 20th a group of South African Coffee Roasters met in two different South African cities of Johannesburg and Cape Town.
At these meetings the same 5 roasts we cupped and tasted. It was the roasters mission to identify which of the first three were underdeveloped, balanced and overdeveloped coffee roasts. These were labelled A, B and C.
Then two other coffees were tasted too, that were unknown called D and E.
D and E ended up being the same coffee as that was balance one “B” and another coffee from the same washing station but of a different (lower) grade roasted to the same profile.
Posted with this post are the audios from the Johannesburg meeting . Please note that the opinions expressed in the audio are subjective to the person who is talking and not those of the members of the association as a whole.
