Event: Identifying Roasting Defects

Are you interested in tasting the most common defects introduced during roasting?

Well Philip from Run – Rabbit – Run suggested this as a topic (thanks we love suggestions) and we took up the mantle. So on the 20 July we invite you all to an event in Jozi and Cape Town (sorry Durban we go 0 response for a venue and so you have been excluded).

Grant from Specialty Coffee Exchange has donated a specialty grade coffee from Burundi and Joe from iKhofi has volunteered to roast the coffee in a defect manner or 4 so we can learn to identify 4 roast defects.

We appreciate that is once again a technical evening and these types of events are normally less popular than ones focused around softer issues, but we look forward to seeing everyone from the local roasting community there.

Thanks to Dave from truth for volunteering his place again, but we decided the love has to be shared so we are meeting at Bean There in Cape Town (Thanks Tembe), and Urban Grind in Johannesburg (Thanks Wayne).
